Rash that isn't going away.

I currently have a rash that has covered my entire finger and is continuing to spread. It often gets flaky, dry, swollen, and really, really itchy. It also tends to go through stages, too. It'll sometimes have very small dots (not bumps) or another stage where it will be extremely dry and skin will flake off and under it will feel soft and fresh and makes me think the rash is gone.. and then it just gets dry again and gets really itchy or has those bumps.

I really want to know what's going on or what kind of relief I can get. And if it helps at all, it started after I got a small bug bite (maybe a flea?) or some sort that was itchy and it has been spreading ever since..

I went to my doctor but he only gave me a prescription for a cream that didn't even help it. I'm gonna see another doctor about this..

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of dyshidrotic eczema. Pompholyx primarily involves the hands and fingers and then may involve the feet. The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I don't remember excactly how my eczema started out I know it was small area then got larger. Just how you say it cycles got my attention cause mine dies excactly that when it gets bad. Do you find it gets worse after bathing or showering? I guess it's an option that it could be eczema but Iean the flea thing throws me off. I hope you figure it out :)

I'm not 100% sure it was a bite but I know it all started with one little tiny dot that looked like a bite since we were have a flea epidemic in my home at the time.

Sounds kinda like I have, cept I also get water blisters. I have eczema and you can get relief from it in creams that you can by in most pharmacy departments, though I get one from my doctor as it works so much better. Mine can get really bad. Though it's hard to say since you said it started with a bug bite. Are you sure it was a bite?
