How do I handle the anxiety that I get over a full body skin cancer screen?

The worry of having an unwanted physical response to such a close examination has kept me from ever having a scan without keeping my underwear on.

So, are you afraid of potential cancer or taking your underwear off?  Docs do not care about your private parts.  I'm a woman and have had every square inch of me examined.  Doctors are like 'next' . . .  just part of their day and they have a clinical attitude about it.  OR are you one who suffers health anxiety and fear cancer?  I'm more THAT person.  I have some health anxiety.  It's hard for me to make some appointments when I'm worried about something health wise.  Which, of course, makes no sense.  Because if you are worried about something, it's important to know if it is reality.  So, I try to take a deep breath and just make the appointment.  Once I've done that, there is no turning back. So, make your appointment and just get through it.
good luck
