hopefully not herpes

since summer has begun i have developed small shiny red spots on my penis head, shaft and scrotum. all in areas that seem to touch eachother or in small skin folds. there are no fluid filled blisters, no discharge, no swelling, nothing has opened and scabbed over. the condition seems to get worse in high humidity and when moisture collects. the spots were itchy at first but ive been treating it with medicated powder and selsun blue. however when i stop using those it comes back with a vengeance and spreads. i've had unprotected sex and suspect it could be yeast related? or maybe fungal? any ideas?

I have heavy thick  yellow discharge( almost looks like ovulation discharge except its yellowish) from my vaginal area, down there is extremely itchy and red. i also have some genital sores and a non bumpy pink sore rash. I am not in pain nor do i have problems going to the bathroom. No burning sensations when I pee. I am on antibiotics and my nurse practitioner is treating me for all sorts of bacterial infections. Today is my third day on antibiotics , but no improvement except for slight less itchy . I am suppose to take the antibiotic for 7 days , can it be something else? How long till i see improvements? Like is this a case where it gets worse before it gets better. I feel the sores and the rash is from irritation to my genital skin from the vaginal discharge. I haven't formed any fluid fill blisters so i don't think its herpes. My nurse practioner also said she didn't see any herpes. I just want to get to the bottom of this. She also said if antibiotics don't work i will have to get a sonogram done.

the pinkness is still present, slight itching also. have been using lotrimin antifungal spray for a month or so. redness seems to subside when dry but flare rapidly when moist. almost resembles Psoriasis but i keep reading that moisture helps clear up Psoriasis but this is quite itchy and uncomfortable when moist. could this be an external yeast infection? how long does that last? the parts affected seem to be the underside of the shaft and on my testes where the affected shaft rests. im on my third bottle of lotrimin. powder spray. i was using the athletes foot spray and have switched to the jock itch powder spray but they list the exact same ingredients. i try to stay dry and clean but i work outside and its not always easy. i used to have dandruff but i havent had it in some time. i also occasionally get the red scaly itchy spots on the sides of my nose associated with Seborrheic Dermatitis. i started using witch hazel on that and it cleared up quite well, i tried using that on my groin and it didnt seem to make much difference. like i said before i work outside and at the time this started i was working out very often (not so much now cuz of the sweat). cortizone doesnt seem to do a great deal. i dont think my stress level is highly elevated but i sure am curious about how this is gona turn out. on a daily basis i bombard my privates with a combination of denerex in the shower then lotrimin powder spray then triple action gold bond and occasionally for kicks ill try calamine, witch hazel, hydrocortizone, and ketanazole. not all at once though.  the spots seem suppressed but its still kinda itchy and seemingly immortal. please help

i havent gone to a doctor because i have no insurance. ive been using lotrimin antifungal powder spray and goldbond for a couple weeks and that seems to make the redness almost disappear but if i let the area stay moist it flares up again. it looks like its almost gone but its still kicking and screaming. is there anything type of oral medication i can buy over the counter to attack it internally? with ezcema is it better to keep it dry with powder or moist? moisture seems to exacerbate it but powder cant quite do the job. ive also been using denerex on the area when i shower. i always shower and practice good hygiene and no not overwash anything.

It could be eczema, sweat dermatitis, allergic reactions or eczema.

You need to wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites.

Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions and see if it helps. You could take some oral antihistamine medications like cetrizine or loratadine. You need to maintain a good personal hygiene .

Anti-itch drugs, often antihistamine, may reduce the itch during a flare up of eczema, and the reduced scratching in turn reduces damage and irritation to the skin.

For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).

Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema. Keeping the affected area moistened can promote skin healing and relief of symptoms.

OK, well your showing no signs of Herpes, so why do you think it could be?

Yeah could be fungal, but your best bet is going to see your doctor, or going and getting yourself an appointment with a dermatologist.

Your self medicating could actually be making the problem worse, or simply suppressing it, when, if given the correct drugs/treatment it could be gone in no time.

(by the fact it excels in warm, moist conditions - I'd guess it was fungal related) - try cleaning there thoroughly daily - but make sure you see you GP.
