which one do i get?
Yes, I've used it on my skin where a bike pedal cut into my shin. I can't even point out where the spot was, only from memory. Also a few guys back in high school (yeah, a few years ago, I know) used it after getting scrapes during sports, they said it worked too. Apply a pea-size amount after bathing everytime until the tube is gone. It works- be patient.
will preparation H help reduce it dramatically?
Well I've heard of carpet burn on knees and elbows, but the neck is a new one! Because the skin on the neck doesn't exfoliate as quickly as the skin on knees or elbows, it may take several months for its size and pinkness to decrease and over a year for it to disappear completely.
You're doing the right thing my putting vitamin E on the spot, but you may want to try Preparation H (yes, a hemorroidal med) that shrinks the skin - it does work. Also remember to wear sunscreen (50 spf or higher) on the spot when outside. The worst thing for a scar is the sun. If it happens again, for some reason, remember to use neosporin and a bandaid to reduce the creation of a scar. Good luck!
