Small Red Dots

Sir,

I have a girlfriend of about 2 years and she was a virgin when we started dating. Over the last couple of months, I've noticed that I get small red dots on my penis shaft a day or so after sex (unprotected). It's never happened before this time period. The small dots aren't clumped together, but they seem to go away in about a week. I notice though when we have sex again they come back in different spots. I know she isn't capable of cheating on me, so I'm a little confused. I haven't had any other sexual partners in the last several years. Any ideas?

Hello

I have some small red dot on glans of penis, its not iching or burning. Just that they are there since 2-3 months.
My question is: what can i do to treat them.

Thank you indeed

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since the red spots on penis appear after sex, fungal infection, herpes, secondary syphilis, molluscum contagiosum should be ruled out by tests specific for them. Even if your girlfriend was a virgin, your previous sexual encounters could result in a STD now. The red spots can also be Fordyce spots. These are dilated blood vessels covered with skin and can heal on their own. The other possibility is pearly white papules. These are harmless red or purple swellings and disappear on their own. The third possibility is blocked sebaceous glands. These too often open up on their own. Use condoms until a confirmed diagnosis is made.
It is very difficult to diagnose such lesions on net. Please consult a skin specialist. Hope this helps. Take care!
