I have this same pain and I am on carbimazole for hyperthyroidism
Hi,
I have been having similar symptoms. I have been to the Dr. and he said it was symptomatic of a migrane. However, I'm a bit confused because I have no headache currently, but still have the scalp pain on the crown of my head. Just as a note, mine started about 2 weeks after my Dr. put me on a high dose of synthroid. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but I have since gone off of that medication but still have this pain. Please keep me posted if you find anything out as I will do the same.

Hello,
From the symptoms trichodynia and trigeminal neuralgia need to be ruled out. Trichodynia is a condition when a patient experiences a painful sensation on his or her scalp. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
