Sore/pimple near rectum - does not heal

Had a small pimple like bump on perineal skin.  Saw both a dermotogist and my OBGYN.  Both said it was nothing to worry about.  Dermatologist said it was a perineal cyst (aka pimple) and it would jsut take time to heal.

Dermatologist also did a culture, and some e-coli did show up - but it was to be expected b/c of location.  Otherwise it is no cause for concern, STD, cander or anything like that.

Did a course of Cipro.  She had me use a benzol-peroxide cream and sulfur soap to dry it out.  It still will not close.  It does not heal and every time I have a bowel movement - and clean myself afterwards, it re-opens and bleeds.

She tried then tried silver nitrate - and it burned the skin.  The only thing to soothe it was Triple-Paste...which I am still using b/c it keeps the skin soft and seals out wetness.

I have tried liquid band-aid and even a styptic stick.

What can I do?  I have had it since May.  It won't stop bleeding, it won't close and heal.

HELP !!

And no, no other signs are present - no pain with bowel movement - there was some discharge like a whitehead pimple - but it went away after the round of Cipro.

Should I be nervous?http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/595372#

Hi,

It is good that a culture was done and antibiotic was taken. However, if it continues to open and bleed, an infection may occur.  Are there other signs and symptoms present? Anal fistula is an inflammatory tract between the anal canal and skin and usually presents as pain with bowel movement, pruritus and discharge. The opening could be found in the perineum. It may also be helpful to have a referral to a surgeon to eliminate    the presence of fistula or other causes involving the rectal region. Take care and keep us posted.
