Hello,
It can be due to chafing or start of herpes sores. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments.Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hi,
How are you? Aside from the rash, what other symptoms are present?  The rash could be due to irritation, infection or skin condition such as dermatitis. Irritation from your girlfriend's lipstick or lipbalm is possible and the rash usually resolves after discontinuing exposure to the trigger. On the other hand, infectious causes such as in oral herpes can cause  small, painful blisters, itching/burning/tingling of the lips or skin around mouth.  Perioral dermatitis is another differential wherein tiny red bumps form around the mouth  and may be associated with skin creams containing steroids on  the  face. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Direct clinical examination is important. Take care and regards.
