Stinging on my face!!!

Long before I'm applying Erythromicin sol., benzoyl peroxide 10% and azelaic acid to my face. A year after, it has really a nice effect. I used different types of soap and it did well.

Until such time when i used a soap that shocks me. When I used that soap in the morning I feel stinging on my face. I thought it was just normal but in the evening I feel more stinging and I feel pain in my face. I consulted a dermatologist and she prescribed me an PREDNISONE. A week after my face turns normal. After a week my face turns red again and it starts that I feel pain again in the red part. My skin in my face always peel. So I consulted again and take PREDNISONE. But after it heals a week or days it come back again. I dont know what to do. I am not exposed to sunlight because I'm always at home. I usually in my computer for about 3 - 9 hours a day. Maybe my skin tone in my face is very thin,

I really need an advice. Can anyone help me????plsss...Thank you in advance.....

Sorry for my grammar. I am not fluent in English...

You recommend the gentle skin cleanser?  I have tried it but prefer how the daily facial cleanser feels.  From what I can surmise from the ingredients, the gentle skin cleanser has alcohol and the daily facial cleanser has castor oil.  The gentle skin cleanser left a lotion film feel on my skin while the daily facial cleanser just left it feeling great.  I love the stuff.  So, do you really recommend the "gentle skin" over the "daily facial" Cetaphil cleanser?

Hello,
You can use Cetaphil lotion since it is hypoallergenic but ensure to use a pea sized amount of the inner side of elbow so that is there is redness or burning then please do not use it on face.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
You can use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser with water or without. If you are using it without water, you will apply a liberal amount of cleanser to the skin and rub gently for a gentle yet thorough cleansing. Then you will remove the excess cleanser with a soft cloth. With water after applying Cetaphil you have to rinse with fresh water.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
Topical steroids can itself cause thinning of skin and increased fragility as its side effect. Even steroid induced rosacea can result.  One of the possibilities for your symptoms can be irritant contact dermatitis.

Irritant dermatitis, the most common type of contact dermatitis, involves inflammation resulting from contact with acids, alkaline materials such as soaps and detergents, cosmetics, or other chemicals.

Avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

If the irritation persists then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
