Tinea Versicolor

I have tinea versicolor on my lower stomach, groin areas, and lower back. I have been battling it for years with many of the common medicines that are used to combat this skin condition. I also resorted to the traditional route of tea tree oil which only made it spread more. What do I need to do. I know that this is yeast, but do I need more treatment or should I just get cosmetic procedures done so that my skin can look normal and sexy.
