About 3 weeks ago i noticed my urethra was a bit red next day after i masturbated started putting some anti fungal cream on it nothing happend last saturday i went to doctor he had a look asked me if i had any sexual activity I said no because i really havent ever, he said ok went on had a look it was pretty dirty white stuff everyweher because i pretty much never looked and didnt know how far the foreskin went back he said clean it out the urethra does look a little red he said hell give me some cream for it he gave me Hydrozole cream Anti fungal aswell but with something else in it, ive been using it today thursday its still red it got more red last night when i masturbated it was stinging abit.
I have no pain pretty much any where it rarely stings no pain around it stings sometimes but very rarely gets worse when i masturbate i have had no sexual activity and i dont use injections which are ways STD's spread so what could it be im at the moment pretty much going to leave it use the cream for another week what is your opinion the doctor had a look he said it looks ok o cleaned the white stuff out whatever its calle smegma or something like thative wash it twice a day now before i apply cream still red not massivly red either just redder then normal what could it be?

Hi,

Masturbation entails manipulating the genitals and with the existing skin condition this may lead to further irritation and minor injuries. The skin of the penis especially that of the glans or the head of the penis is thinner than the skin in other areas of the body.

Refrain from any sexual activity for the moment .I know you are highly anxious about this but this does not sound very urgent. I do not think it requires further intervention at this point. Proper hygiene and abstaining from sexual activity may give the injured penile skin a time to heal.

Hi,

The two red dots may not be significant. They may be blocked hair follicles or bumps on the skin caused by mild skin irritation. Just continue with your medications. Has the condition improved? Is the redness still present?

Refrain from manipulating the area vigorously as this may cause irritation and mild injuries which will promote infections to set in. Clean the area well including the area under the foreskin.

Here is a url which will guide you in washing the genitalia:

Yes Iam cleaning it twice a day ive been using the cream for maybe 5 days.
Ive also had 2 dots really small less then maybe 2mm in size they were there when i went to dcotor so he must have seen them but when i asked so everything looks ok he said yes so i guess its most probably nothing to be worried about there not bumps there small really small 2 red spots look like inside the actual gland skin but from the pics iveseen conditions with dots none really look like this could it be something ive had for long time because i never looked udner the forkeskin?.
Iam uncircumsised.

Hi,

This sounds like a case of balanitis. Balanitis is a condition which usually involves the head of the penis. Uncircumcised males are usually affected. The white material you have noted may be smegma.

Balanitis is due to an infection caused by bacteria and fungal infections. It is not necessarily sexually transmitted .In your case, manipulation of the penis could have caused mild injuries and abrasions of the skin. This allows infection to occur. Also, irritation of the area may lead to a dermatitis. Dermatitis occurring on the head of the penis may be secondary to frequent manipulation and trauma.

I suggest that you continue with the medications your physician has given you. For how long have you been using it?

Do you practice good genital hygiene?
