WELCOME TO THE DERMATOLOGY FORUM **PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING**

Do you have questions about a rash, bumps or anything skin related in general?
Do you have a skin disorder that’s rare and your looking for others with it?

Feel free to ask any questions you have and we will strive to provide accurate answers and advice in a timely manner. We have people of all types and ages here in the Dermatology community as well as Doctor Bhupinder Kaur, MD who can give excellent, professional opinions and advice.
Here are a few suggestions for making the most of your visits:

1) Please JOIN the community. Once you have had a chance to look around, why not create a profile and tell us a little about yourself, we have many things you can do to personalize your profile including adding pictures, and widgets.

2) Once you’ve created a profile, click on “My MedHelp” and check out the many great features: settings, trackers, notes, message, and photos.

3) Feel free to post on the current threads, or even create a thread of your own. It’s easy to get the hang of.  Ask any questions, no question is dumb, and we will be sure to answer it quickly. Be sure to ask your doctor before trying any new treatment for your problem. Most of us on here are just other people interested in helping, we aren’t MD’s so keep that in mind...

4) Be sure to check out the "Health Pages." The link is in the upper right hand corner of your screen. “Health Pages” address topics dealing with dermatology.

5) Talk to other members and introduce yourself you can “Add a Friend” one of the easiest ways is to scroll over the member’s name and click on “Add a Friend”.   If you want to send a private message (PM) to another member click the member’s name and then click on “Send Message”

6) If your short on time you can send a quick note to other members. Scroll over the member’s name and click on “Send a Note.” Unlike PMs, everyone can view “Notes”.

7) And, don't forget our Ask an Expert Forum:

**Please read the Terms of Use at the bottom of your screen. There are a few general posting guidelines that are for the benefit of all community members. Please do not hijack another member’s thread. If your comments are relevant with the current discussion, post away. If you have a new topic of interest, please begin a new post.  Do not post more than one thread per day on the same subject. If you have additional questions concerning that topic, continue to post in the thread you started

For existing members we encourage you to welcome new members, post a little introduction about yourself and how the dermatology community has helped you. Please everyone keep things friendly and nice.

I've had a problem several times over the past year with my skin cracking or tearing during sex with my wife.

The tears run across the shaft in the same direction as the wrinkles do when my penis is soft.  We wait a few days between sexual sessions but it still happens again.

The only thing different after 15 years of sex between us seems to be a yeast infection and of course, age.  I am 60.

Is it possible for a yeast infection to cause this kind of damage or weakened skin?
