Nipple hair (oh, the joy)

I have a single long, fast growing, coarse, black hair on one of my nipples. It has been growing on a Montgomery gland about halfway between my actual nipple and the outer edge of the areola on one of my breasts for about a year. Again, ON the areola, not around it.
I have been carefully plucking it, but I recently read an article that suggested nipple hair can be indicative of cancer.
I am 16, have been menstruating consistently for seven years, and have never been pregnant, so I don't think it's caused by fluctuating hormones. Some second opinions would be appreciated.

Thank you!
No, no, that is not what I meant. I said it has been consistent, not constant! And thank God for that, ha.

Hi and welcome. Hair growth is genetic and somewhere in your family tree another female has the same. Its not an indication of cancer so dont even go there.
You have not stoped menstrating for 7 years straight? Did i read that correct?
