Hello,
Unfortunately I am unaware of any such STD rash which presents as appearing and disappearing rash that is characteristic of hives. STD rash may present as blisters( herpes), dermatitis, ulcers( syphilis) and associated with pain or discharge from urethra.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Thank you for answering, i didn't think anyone was going to. i have a couple other questions, if you don't mind? i would like to know if this sounds like an STD or HIV rash? are any known to appear and disappear so quickly? its been going on for more then a month now, possibly two months. can any STD or HIV rash last that long? and its not always present sometimes ill go almost all day with out it showing up, then it'll last an hour and disappear then show up somewhere else. Thanks again!
Hello,
From the symptom that this rash comes and goes, the possibility of hives needs to be ruled out. Hives (medically known as urticaria) are red, itchy, raised areas of skin that appear in varying shapes and sizes. They have a tendency to change size rapidly and to move around, disappearing in one place and reappearing in other places, often in a matter of hours.
Many cases of hives are "idiopathic," meaning no cause is known. Others may be triggered by viral infections or medications. Treatment is by oral antihistamines. You can also apply 1%hydrocortisone cream on the effected area. Try taking Vitamin C along with this treatment. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement. It helps stabilize mast cells so they are less likely to release histamine.
Please see your dermatologist if the condition does not improve. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
