The pins and needles could be signs of neuropathy caused from sugars running high. I take Lyrica 300mg a day for mine. The neuropathy will never go away once u have it so unless u control your BG lvls it will get worse. If u get your sugars under control u can keep the neuropathy from getting any worse.
Hope this helped.

What does "getting worse" mean? Blood sugar (BG) getting higher (how high) or are symptoms getting worse?

As sally said... It is carbohydrates that raise BG.  rice, pasta, most fruit, breads, fruit juice, soda, potatos all have carbs and will raise BG.

What meds are you on? (pickle juice is NOT a med)  Some meds can raise BG does your allergy med raise BG?  Google the med and see.

Hello,

what meds are you on for your diabetes?

If this is a side effect from diabetes, then the best way to reduce / manage it is to have good blood sugar control.

What is your latest Hba1c?

To help control blood sugars, aside from meds, it will be important to exercise (at least 30 minutes a day of brisk walking, ideally more), eat a low carb diet (avoiding juices, soft drinks, sweets, breads, sweet fruits, etc).

Please let us know more, and also see your Dr to help with management.
