my sons results
my son is ten and weighs 162 today he tested high for tsh, sgot sgpt and lymph , how serious is this and what does it mean please?
He done take mess and the was high 5.514 high.His Sgpt was 90 and sgot 88 lymph was 5.5. Should i be worried about his liver and is he overweight cause the tsh. He is not a big eater.
High TSH indicates hypothyroidism (under active thyroid); you should have his TSH tested again, along Free T3 and Free T4, which are the actual thyroid hormones. What was his actual TSH result?
You should also have him tested for thyroid antibodies, Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPOab) and Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TGab) to confirm/rule out an autoimmune thyroid condition.
