what is that strange noise?
my dog is 7 years old and she has this weird snorting noise she makes when shes excited or starts pulling the leash to hard. can any one please explain this to me? Thank you
Hello & welcome......If your dog is a Toy breed, the snorting sound (When excited) is called a "Reverse Sneeze". Google it and read to see if that's what your hearing....Very common and nothing to worry about......Actually, I don't believe anyone knows what causes it!
The choking from lease pulling is too much pressure on the Trachea....It causes restriction of air in the lungs......It's best to use a HARNESS, instead of a collar, on any dog that has a potential to have lung problems or neck problems......(Usually Toys)

Yes it sounds a bit like a doggy Asthma attack more so in ******* I think.Many dogs do it could be like an allergy! pulling on the leash cuts of her breath so that would be the noise she makes in that instance.
