I have seen Cesar Millan on British TV, but did not know he had made DVD or written book about calming down dogs. I will certainly get one of those. Thanks. I always thinks he works wonders.
The cost of DAP is what is worrying me, as have to be replaced every 4 weeks.
We had the diffusers plugged in for several months, they were supposed to stop cats from spraying, I saw no improvement at all on the two we were having problems with. We had to start one cat on daily medication, which stopped the problem, and the other lives in the basement. I've read where others have had luck with the plug ins, maybe you will with them or the collar. Good Luck. Have you ever thought about buying a dvd or book from Cesar Millan on how to get your dog used to grooming? I've seen him on TV do wonders for dogs that were scared or violent while being groomed.
I spoke to a vet yesterday about DAP (Dog Appeasing Pheramone) which they advertise as calming dogs who are frightened of fireworks (November 5th Firework Night here soon). My dog is not frightened of them, but I understand you can buy a spray, a diffuser or collar for dog, but it has to be an ongoing thing.
Vet said the collar is a good idea. I just want my dog calm for grooming. I will think about it.
No same. I don't know more than I have read on internet. I am doub tful though. Just want to calm my dog without medication.
Is a DAP diffuser one that has to be plugged in? If it is, and its like a feliway diffuser for cats, ours did not work for the two cats we tried it on, and it was expensive. Maybe what your talking about is different, though.
