dog limping on back right paw

my dog is limping on his back right paw. i took him to the vet yesterday and she told me to use baby asprin. he does bear some weight as he did in the vet's office but he's not himself and won't even come out to go to the bathroom. Should i wait a few days before taking him to an E.R.?

With no other major symptoms at this time, don't think you need the ER vet either but I would be concerned about the Aspirin use too.  Do you know if the dog hurt itself?  Have you given the foot a good inspection, ESP between the ties?  Any rash or swelling?  Are you sure it is actually the foot?

Welcome to the forum......If you'll give more information, we may can help you.......What age is your dog? What Breed? Was there an injury you witnessed? How long has this been going on?

What did your Vet give you for a diagnoses? I'm surprised about the baby aspirin.....Your Vet has much better Anti-inflammatory/Pain Meds that should have been prescribed....Baby Aspirin probably is not enough, plus it can cause a gastric bleed with just one dose! So, I'm now concerned about this Vet?????

I do not believe you need to ER, but I feel you possibly need to find a better Vet......

Again, if you will provide more details, it would be helpful......Karla
