Doggy hero

What's a good reward for a doggy hero?
Last November my dad passed away and his poor dog was very distraught. She came to live with us for awhile, but her heart was still back at the farm.
We sent her back to the farm once my younger brother was moved in.
Yesterday morning the house caught on fire. The smoke alarms did not go off !
Sheba jumped up on my brother's bed and barked at him, waking him up. She saved his life!
The fire department brought my brother to the hospital and then dropped Sheba off at the vet's.
Took us several hours to find her ( we thought she ran off because we saw paw prints in the snow leading away from the farm) but with the help of the insurance company we tracked her down.
They had given her oxygen and a bath.
SO...our little hero needs a big reward.
She's a 9 year old black lab.
Any suggestions?

Oh Yes, and while you are giving her that massage, don't forget to tell her how proud your Dad would be of her....and how grateful and proud of her...you and your brother are.

Good girl Sheba....!
Make her a pot of stew....!  With the bad weather rolling in, it sure would taste good...!  Mmmmmm, meat, gravy, potatoes, carrots....WOOF..!  I'll be right over.!
What about Meatloaf  (no onions or garlic )   and some good ole sweet potatoes...most dogs LOVE sweet potatoes.  For dessert, a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Invite her to sit on the couch with you...and...
To end the evening, give her the most wonderful massage you can.

Sheba is the best for sure.

Any good ideas for homemade food?
I hear that rice is good and corn is bad, but other than that...no idea.
Nasty storm going on out there, and the dog food that was donated to us is all moldy. It was nice of the person/people to donate food, but with mold in it?
Needless to say she won't touch it.
So I need to find something in my kitchen to give her.

Dogs are amazing animals and do pick up on more than we realize. Sheba is a hero for sure. Thanks for the positive story and hopefully Sheba lives long and happy for years to come.
