Epsom Salt and Medicated Shampoo, too much?

My Westie is very sensitive, food and other allergies.  We use a medicated shampoo containing Ketoconazole 1% and I have started (used once) a Epsom Salt foot soak, dog standing in the kitchen sink for a few minutes.

It is time for a bath and I wonder if I could have our dog standing in an Epsom Salt foot bath while being shampooed with the medicated soap.  Or, is this a case of too much of a good thing, gone bad?

Expanding, how about using some of the foot bath to wet the coat that will have shampoo used, later to be rinsed with clear water?  In this case I'd have to keep the dog in the sink longer to get the needed "10 minute" soak time...or if I can combine just 10, not 20 minutes total.

Just saw this.  Didn't seem to be a problem to me.  Glad that worked out.  Lol
I sure remember bathing whites on dogs.  Used to get some great products at the show vendors.  After the dogs were bathed before showing, the ones that had white collars and ruffs wore baby bibs til we got to the show grounds, yep.  :-)

I went ahead and did it today, a bath with Epsom salt then a wash with some whitening dog shampoo, not the medicated stuff.  He seem to be doing fine and looks real white.  He scratching may be a little less, due to the ES, which was carefully rinsed off.
