Fortunately, or not, we don't have snow problems. From showing and from "dog"friends of mine, the use of straw or sawdust in a garage, on a patio or covered area outside is widely used. I just saw this and thought what a great idea!
Friends of mine in areas where they are getting tons of snow are posting pics of their Shelties and Papillions out romping in the snow and some eating it. Hell, I wouldn't even go out there.
Yes, guess you would have to keep cleaning off the tarp but still a good idea.
Yes, we are servants.
What an absolutely clear, easy and simple answer to frozen doggies Margot! Great idea.
Some dogs -especially little ones, can't handle going out into deep snow, and clearing a trackway for them can be hard work. Salt is to be avoided. Though yes it melts ice left over after snow-clearing, it can get to the pads of their feet.
So the tarp idea sounds like a good one.
(Little chore to do, cleaning the tarp each day....well never mind. After all, we are on earth as their servants! lol)
