The Return of the Pets Photo Board

Hi,

A lot of you have asked for us to bring the photo board back of the MedHelp pets, and we are happy to say we are going to bring this back but in a different fashion. We are going to build a slide show of all pet photos we receive. Each slide will have the photo of the pet, the pet name, the pet owner (member name) and a couple of lines about the pet. The benefit here is we'll be able to continually add new pictures to the slide show, as opposed to having to redo the collage for each new picture (which became a real problem last time). For those of you that would like you pet's photo included, please do the following:

- Send the Photo to support @ medhelp.org and title it "Pet Photo" (and yes, I see the irony in having to break up the email address like that)
-Photos in landscape format (where it's more wide than tall) work better than portrait or square formats.
- Include your user name and pet's name
- Also, feel free to provide 2 or 3 lines about your pet. What he/she likes to do, what breed, how old, etc.

Feel free to send this in multiple times if you have more than one pet.

We'll be building this out of over the next 2 weeks so keep an eye out for it and let us know if you have any questions!

We've updated the Petting Zoo slideshow with all the photos our members have submitted. If your photo isn't there, please send the required information and image to support @ medhelp.org and we'll get it added in the next batch.

Thanks and enjoy!

Hey Everyone,

For those of you who haven't noticed, the Petting Zoo slideshow is live. You can see it on the right hand side in all the pet forums.

If you would like your pet included, please send a landscape photo to support @ medhelp.org. Include the following in your email:

-Photo
-Pet's name
-Pet's age
-Pet's breed or mix breed info
-2-3 sentences describing your pet's personality, likes/dislikes
-Your Member Name

We'll be adding to the existing slideshow with more pets, so check back often. It's a great little pick-me-up.

To all those who submitted your photos already, thank you! We love having your little ones on our site!

The slideshow will be up and accessible to viewing at the end of this weekend. If it's like the old photo board, there will be an option for viewing at the top of the screen. Any of you offical folks out there have a more specific answer yet?

AAAHHHHH!!!!  I'm going to have to find my good pics!  Actually, this is a great excuse to try for some new portraits of Maggie and Doc.  We haven't taken any recent pics of them and it's overdue.  Can't forget about Petey the 20-year-old cockatiel and Nick the quaker parrot either.  The birds are a bit more difficult to photograph since we usually need a flash and they freak.  LOL!

Fred and Wilma, our 5+ year old goldfish were released from the 45+ gallon aquarium that has been their home for too long.  Last Friday hubby took them over to a client's office facility that has a huge koi pond.  The Japanese were thrilled to have them, and they'll be pampered fish for the rest of their lives.  I miss them already - keep looking at the tank and doing a double take when I don't see their 7" bodies swirling around.  :-(  I'm thinking of replacing them with a pile of neons - something that won't outgrow the tank this time.

I can't wait to check out everyone's pets!  Don't our critters make life so much better?  :-)

Be on the lookout for my big boy, Samson.  He's a two-year old golden retriever.

Thanks for the offer to post the pics!

This is a great idea!  Count me in for 1 dog, 2 hamsters, & 2 rabbits ... hmmmm forget the fish for now!

All kidding aside, I have a pic of my ShihTzu on my profile and can easily send it ... I cannot wait to see the finished product!
