pacing

My dog keeps pacing around, barely will sit, keeps his head bent low and has his head tilted to right and keeps shaking it. He is a very active dog but is acting very lethargic. I have given him a 325mg Bayer aspirin today but is not acting as if it has helped.

Agree with Karla.  Could be an inner ear infection, which is very painful.  Could be a number of things including something neurological.
Hope you have gotten in to a Vet today.  Please do update us.

Hi Kim....What size dog is this? The symptoms you describe are all  signs of pain!! In dogs, pain must be very bad before you see any sign!

Be careful with the Aspirin..It can cause a gastric bleed w/just one dose....If the aspirin didn't help at all, then your dog must be in sever pain!

This is either a back injury or a serious ear infection...Neither of these will go away on it's own....Please, get him to his Vet ASAP, like today....This needs to be treated & soon.....Both conditions are serious if left untreated!! Make the call, now!! Please come back & let us know hows he's doing...Thanks
