I would take the new puppy as soon as she gets it and have it vaccines done.If it was still nursing or recently weaned then it should have some of its mothers anitbodies for a few weeks. But usually most vets say that it really dont have an immunity against infections till after its 2cd set of shots.I would keep it away from anywhere it could come in contact with Parvo such as araes where other animals have been.Parvo is highly contagoius and very dangerous .How old is the puppy. Also most puppies have worms so it will need to be dewormed as soon as you get it.Good Luck and keep us posted
hi, i just got a new puppy as well and from what ive heard, the puppy would be okay around the other dog as long as it is current on shots and overall healthy.I do not believe the new puppy can get sick from other people(but obvioulsy if that person is sick you wanna keep animals away anyways). How old is this new puppy? mine was 10wks old with no shots but she has just finished her shots. DO NOT take the puppy on walks etc or to pet stores. Please socialize the puppy in your own home as there are too many dangers outside along sidewalks in yards etc.I took my puppy for car rides etc to get her out of the house but def make sure puppy has ALL shots b4 you do too much with it.
