First of all, if your friend was scratched by a dog who had been vaccinated, the chance that the dog has rabies is virtually nil.
Secondly, the rabies virus dies very quickly once it is exposed to air. The virus is shed in the saliva. For your friend to have gotten rabies from a scratch the dog would first have to be ill and showing signs of the actual sickness, he would have had to have had licked his paw immediately before scratching your friend, thereby introducing the saliva from the paw into the wound caused by the scratch. The animal would only be shedding the virus if he was actually showing symptoms of being rabid. Since the dog had been vaccinated, the chances that it had contracted rabies is extremely slim.
If I were you, I wouldn't worry one bit about getting rabies from having shared a drinking vessel with your friend. There are lots of other illnesses I would be more concerned with catching from someone than rabies. Just put your mind at ease and stop worrying.

I didn't get a clear reply. Just wanted to know if iam at risk. I drank water from the same bottle and my friend earlier that day was scrathed by his dogs paw. It was not a bite! The dog is vaccinated. Please tell me if iam at any smallest risk.
You have received replies. If you are that worried, best to consult a doctor to ease your concerns
The dog scratched my friend with the paw and not the mouth
The dog is vaccinated. He just scrached him. That same evening, I shared a glass of water with my friend. I want to know if I can get rabbies coz I drank water from the same glass and may have touched my friends saliva with my lips. Is that possible or shud I not worry.
I agree. if your friend's dog is not showing any signs if illness, I would not worry.
Not as far as the dog contact is concerned, that's my opinion, but an opinion I would say I must have tested may times in my many years of life, and love of humans and dogs. So I give my view based on personal experience.
There is nothing in your description that sends out an alarm to me.
Stop worrying and enjoy !
My friend was just scratched by a dog who has been vaccinated. That same evening we shared water from the same glass. Is this a risk?
You didn't mention, is you friend infected, being treated for rabies? If not, what are you worried about.
Sharing bodily fluids with another human has it risks, not sure rabies is one of them. I think rabies has to be transmitted directly into the blood stream, e.d., a dog bite from an infected dog.
