Eating Disorder

I believe that I may be on my way to an eating disorder.  I am 34 years old, 5'3" and I weigh 107.   I am very petite and always have been.  I haven't truely ever worked out, I've just been very very lucky.  Even after having two kids, I lost all the weight without doing much.  From as far back as I can remember I have always had problems eating if I was overly stressed or emotional about something.  During those times, I will not eat.  The problem that I am encountering is that I am now getting stressed about gaining weight.  I am terrified about gaining weight.  I don't know how to handle this and how to overcome it.  I have noticed that I am eating less and less and I am afraid that I am getting or have an eating disorder.  Suggestions???

Eating disorders begin in the mind.  It is very important to address these concerns with a professional.  The sooner you seek help, the easier it will be to re-establish a healthy relationship with eating and weight.

It seems that you are on your way to an eating disorder. This is a difficult problem to resolve by yourself. It would be helpful to see an eating disorder specialist. Check out eatingdisordersadvisor.com and somethingfishy.com for help

I really, really hopes this helps and doesn't hurt the situation when I say this, but your best bet is to make sure you are eating enough. I know it's not easy, but ultimately the restriction in calories will slow metabolism and eventually make it much easier to gain. If you fear weight gain, the best thing you can do is not mess up your metabolism by restricting. Feel free to message me or anything if I can help in any way.

:)sweetie-you need to call your doctor ASAP OR insurance company and get to treatment center for eating disorders.  You need 're-define' your life and do NOT want ED to control your life when you can take back the control and have a happy healthy future....good luck!

You've done the first and most difficult thing, admitting everything that's going on. You aren't going to necessarily want to hear this, but the thing to do now is be proactive. Stop weighing yourself, at least as often, and make yourself eat normally. I would also advise you to seek professional help. Hang in there
