many thanks for your response, i am relieved by your statement the elevating the bed won't hurt by back. about food i have tea 5/6 times a day with milk and sugar added to hurt. and if i am not wrong milk cuts the caffeine in the tea. I also take ssri antidepressant and 1 mg lorazepam for sleep. the plae where i live docs just prescribe meds without interacting or quelling your doubts so i have to resort to website. there is huge disconnect with the docs here. i am tried of going to them. so i will need your help.
I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like the medication you are taking is not helping, that is why I recommended a gastroenterologist as they specialize in treating GERD. Also try posting on the GERD forum. There are certain foods that make GERD worse, such as orange juice, tomatoes, onions and chocolate and caffeine. Try reducing these foods.
many thanks for answer. i have been to doctorthey only prescribe meds, that why i am eating rabeprezole. so i looking for remedies as i am anxious and unhappy
I think you are worrying too much. Acid reflux is very common and not likely to "damage your voice box". You should let your pain be your guide; it is highly unlikely that elevating your bed will hurt your back, but if it causes pain, don't do it. Talk to your doctor or get a referral to a gastroenterologist who can help you look at other options for your reflux. Treating medical problems by posting on a website, isn't the best way to go.
Many thanks for response, i am worried about my voice box getting damaged coz by burning sensation in the throat (as i just got a job where i have to use my voice) I just want to know will i damage my back b if i elevate my bed on the head side by 6 inches. my back pains slightlack problemsy after i get my from that position. i also take rabeprezole 20-40 mg as when i have burning throat. anxiously waiting for any answer.
Reflux isn't an emotional problem, but a medical one, and one that is very common, unfortunately You might want to see your doctor to get medication for the reflux. Does your back pain occur during the night and did it begin after you started elevating the bed? If so that is more reason to find another solution for the reflux!
There is a Doctor's Expert Forum where you will hopefully get a response from a real Doctor. Click on Forums on top. Then on the right hand side you will see the Doctor's Forums. Click on the one for GERD (acid reflux).
