Not sure if endometriosis or not

Hi everyone

I'm nearly 23 years old and I am on birth control pills because a few years ago I out of nowhere suddenly had really painful periods, sharp abdominal pains throughout the month and vomitting. I went to the doctors and they referred me to a gynaecologist because they suspected endometriosis, they put me on birth control to try and help and I elected for the laparoscopic surgery. The surgeon said there found nothing but then the gyno said I could still have microscopic endometriosis..
Since I have been on birth control the pain, vommiting and dizziness has gone away. Although I still get faint and not as common abdomen pains.
Over the recent months though I have noticed a little more abdominal pain on left and right sides for no apparent reason and also sometimes with bowel movements. I have also been getting clots with my period which I never use to get, the one I had this week on my period was really long and half a cm wide. Has anyone had the pill cause clots? Or could it be a sign of something else? I also get lower middle abdomen pain in sex sometimes. Thanks

Clots can be caused by Endometriosis.

If a regular gynocologist did your surgery it is quite possible they missed the disease. Yes it could be microscopic but it can also be different colors and textures and only if you are a skilled Endo surgeon you would know the difference.

Also if not skilled they probably wouldn't have looked at the cul de sac or bowels, rectovaginal etc.

I would recommend seeing a specialist.

Being on BC helps control the pain but the disease can still grow. If you had a surgery and you recently came off the pill at that time it can some time it reduces the inflammation of the disease and many inexperienced surgeons will not know this. Some surgeons ask their patients to come off any form of hormones for 3-6 before surgery to make sure they get it all but some in the Endo field can do it without them coming off the pill. It all depends on how skilled the endo surgeon is.

I had surgery on the pill and off and it made a difference.
