Endo?

Hello, I'be been having excruciating menstrual pain for the last couple of years. I usually have to miss school the 1st two days of every cycle because I'm unable to get out of bed. I thought this was normal and that I was just a wuss (and so did my doctor) until my mom mentioned that she has endometriosis. I didn't look into too much until now because it's getting worse each month. I have many symptoms but also don't want to just assume. I'm looking for a 2nd opinion before I seek a different Doctor.

Symptoms I do have:
Extreme pain in pelvis and lower back
Nausea during cycle
Diarrhea during cycle
Irregular/heavy cycles

Symptoms I do not have:
Pain when not on period
Pain during sex
Etc.

If your mother had endo that puts you at a greater risk in having it as well. My mother never had it but her sister did and so does my cousin on my moms side. My dad's sister I think has it as well but has never been operated on to find out.

That being said what you have posted as your symptoms does sound like endo. Even if you don't have the other symptoms. Not everyone is the same. The reason I had pain during sex was because I had rectovaginal Endo and it caused pain during my period and at other times like knives stabbing me in my rectum. Only 5% of women that have endo will have Rectovaginal disease so if you do not have those symptoms be thankful :) because I have not once had sex without it hurting.

I would suggest seeing and Endo specialist regarding what your next steps would be.

If you do have it you want to be in the right hands right from the start.

If you need any help with finding one that is reputable in your area I can help with that :)
