Hi... over the past few years I have had severe endometriosis therefore had the key hole surgery to remove lesions and if honest pain has still been fairly bad years after the op.  I wasn't sure if I could convince yet horray I am now 7 weeks pregnant!  My endo pain is severe again abdominal, , pelvic and feel like that hot poker is back between my legs again im in agony. Ive been prescribed codeine and paracetamol but doesn't help. Does anyone else have similar pain during pregnancy?  Im really struggling and any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you x

No problem whatsoever I will inbox you some information.

I will tell you though that my Endo got 100x worse after having my daughter. It was insane. I don't think it helped that I was in an abusive relationship at the time and left when she was 5 weeks old and I was a single mother with no money coming from him and no help from family so I think the depression was worse because of that but the nausea, reflux, migraines, and periods were so bad. I thank God that Endometrioma grew at that time because it took 14 yrs to diagnose me and I had seen over 40+ doctors, diagnosed with IBS, Major Depressive Disorder, GAD, Cluster/Aura/Complicated migraines, Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, Chronic pain but no Endo until that cyst grew and I had deep infiltrating Endo. So I guess I can say I am thankful that I was able to conceive but also thankful that it kicked my endo into full gear.

Major Endo awareness/support on Twitter if you are interested. I will send you a message

Welcome to the Endometriosis Forum :)

Congrats to start off with :)

A lot of people including myself felt amazing during pregnancy. I mean I had no energy but the pain was gone. However I had rectovaginal Endometriosis at the time so the rectal pain was very bad.

Parts of what you feeling can come with pregnancy but it seems a little early however the best thing you can do is talk to your doctor about. I would think that being pregnant would suppress the period therefore suppress the pain. Many people are different of course.

If you had laser surgery most likely the Endo was not fully removed and that its still there. Excision is the best (cut out) just so you know for future.

I can ask around people I know if they have felt the same or I can direct you to a FB page that is great for questions like this but I can't post here. Message me :)
