I would think you'd want to talk to your physician about both treatment of your hernia and whether doing this is a good idea. I'd frankly want to ask about all the exercise you do until the problem is resolved to your doctor's satisfaction. You don't want to fool around with that area or with any injury, actually, because you really really don't want chronic injuries. Trust me on that. I've got lots of them and I'm no longer in the gym at all because of them. Peace. And congrats.
