1.GIVE THEM A GOOD SOAK:
Extra-smelly feet can benefit from regular foot soaks. Add a 1/2 cup of mineral salts or kosher salt to a basin of warm water, and soak your feet for 15-20 min. Skip the towel-dry and let the water evaporate naturally.
If you live in a coastal community, you have the added option of taking a 15-20 min. walk along the water's edge to reduce bad odors. Salt water helps to dry out your feet and reduce bacteria.
2.REDUCE PERSPIRATION:
You can reduce the amount of sweat your feet produce in a variety of ways. Corn starch is a great natural additive for shoes, socks and for applying directly to your feet to reduce the amount of moisture.
Anti-perspirants are another way to reduce sweat. You can use the same type of anti-perspirant that you use under your arms for your feet (although you may want to consider a separate anti-perspirant stick).
3.CHANGE YOUR DIET:
Garlic and onions can both affect body and foot odor. If you have a tendency to sweat profusely, you may want to cut back on spicy foods, or foods that contain a large amount of onions and garlic.
4.CHOOSE GOOD-BREATHING SHOES FOR YOURSELF.
One of the easiest ways(also the most important way) you can reduce foot odor is by giving them the chance to breathe.
If shoes are unavoidable, then limit them to natural materials such as canvas or leather. Rubber and other man-made materials tend to be non-porous, and actually promote the growth of bacteria.
