Well it's very likely your loosing fat and building muscle. Muscle weighs a great deal more than fat does. If your really set on loosing weight you should increase your cardio time and decrease your muscular strengthening exercises. Now you don't want to lay back on the weight lifting, muscles burn more resting calories. You can go for less weight and more reps, toning your muscles but not necessarily building mass. Your diet plays a large role in weight loss as well, if your eating sh*t all the time your not going to really notice a difference. Canadian food guide. Balance your exercise schedule with healthy eating and make sure you up your protein intake a little. What happens alot of the time when people start eating less to lose weight, they're bodies pick up the extra slack by breaking down their muscles, because muscles are an excellent source of energy. You've got your exercise down so I'm guessing your problems are in your diet. Are you eating enough? I find a lot of my clients who are struggling to lose weight and are also working out consistently, are not eating enough. You most likely are at a plateau and need to fuel your body more or pull the reigns back on the cardio.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but exercise has very little effect on your weight. There are lots of good reasons to exercise - your health, your heart, your mood, your body shape - but your weight (the number you see on the scale) is almost wholly determined by your diet.
There are millions of books on dieting, so I won't even get into that. I can tell you, though, what's worked for me: eating non-processed and healthy foods, eating a variety of fresh vegetables, avoiding sugar, and being patient. Being healthy is a lifestyle, and it takes time and patience to build a healthy body. Good luck!
