Hi!
So I participate in TKD (essentially, martial arts) and our instructor has us run for five to ten minutes almost every class. Then we do some cardio exercises, then martial art activities. I started when I was either seven or eight, and I had absolutely no trouble doing it. Now, as I am fifteen, I have noticed a gradual decrease in my ability to perform. My heart rate increases to the point where I am afraid it is some kind of heart disease, and my heart has very, very notiecable . I struggle for breath: meaning when I inhale, it doesn't feel like I am gaining any air, or that I am not inhaling fully. I get waves of cold after the running, and some slight dizzy/lightheadedness, though nothing big. I have never once (though I am probably going to jinx it now) gotten sick (nausea/puking) in class or during any kind of activity. I am NOT overweight (110-115 - 15 yrs old), I eat pretty healthy, and I exercise often.
When I run, palpitations get very strong, and the cold waves start after we stop running. Occasionally I have to stop class because of cramps in different parts of my body (...my stomach, back of legs, shoulders ect). Even climbing our stairs (13 steps) cause me shortness of breath and palpitations. As a physically active person, being unable to participate in activities and exercises is heavily embarrassing.
Is this anything to be majorly concerned about?
