Running low on light, what are some other options?

Since being married for the last two and a half years, I have kind of let myself go as far as my weight is concerned. My husband eats a lot, so my eating habits have started to reflect his. Eating habits aside (we are working on eating less food, more frequently), I have started running in the mornings around town because it used to be bright around 6am when I went. But now that the seasons are changing, it is darker in the mornings and I have less time to go because of a recent job switch. Normally, I would go to the gym, but we cannot justify paying that much for a gym pass when I can jog or walk for free. Even if our town was squeaky clean, I wouldn't feel comfortable running alone when it's dark. My husband has said that he would like to go with me, but because that's easier said than done, and because I enjoy running by myself, that has yet to happen. My question is: What other alternatives would you recommend for me? Running/riding a bike to and from work isn't an option because I need a car to run errands for the job. Any advice would be much appreciated..Thank you!

Hello,

If you are fond or jogging and running, but can’t do it often because of the weather and security reasons, then other alternative can be a treadmill. You can purchase a treadmill and do exercising at home only. Moreover your husband can also use it if it is at home.

Hope it helps.Take care and regards.

if you can afford one, buy an exercise machine, like an eliptical...those are lower impact for your knees and ankles...and they can track your miles, calories burned, and heart rate and more. its well worth it...and you can excersize no matter the weather...
