exercise with an injury

I have recently had surgery on my ankle to repair my tendons. I am now in a boot and I want to get back to the gym. Obviously I cant do cardio yet or lunges and things like that. What routines should I do to work full body?

You should definitely take it easy for a few months, you only have one ankle per leg and REALLY dont want to mess those up. Do some power/fast walking or  swimming for the first few months. Then you should be able to start running and jumping as you would normally,  just ask your doctor what he thinks.

You can still do weight training. Building lean muscle helps your metabolism stay higher and burn more even while resting. Maybe try squats as well if your able to do that in a boot.
