I recommend healthy eating, avoid , junk foods and eat green leafy vegetables, fruits, protein rich food and healthy fats. You can do some normal exercise everyday in the morning like jogging, walks for 30 mins.
It's a good thing that you're aware of how important it is to take care of your body at a young age of 14. That's very admirable. Now, as for the process it would be very hard, You would need a lot of determination and discipline. The first thing you should do is have a proper dieting regimen. You should be conscious of what you need, moderate eating is the key. You won't need to starve yourself if you eat properly. Be aware of what you eat, avoid junk foods and eat more fruits and vegetables. The next is to have a regular exercise. Allot a time for your daily exercise, sports is the best way. Also, be certain that you get enough sleep. A healthier life style is all you need.
Hey, thanks for your answer .. I'm am 11 stone and I am about 5'5 I think
Hi Kaylz.
how heavy are you? How tall are you? While exercise is important for health (and highly recommended), the biggest contributor to weight gain is actually diet. Would recommend avoiding soft drinks, and sweets, and eating plenty of vegetables and fruits, with meats, cheese, etc. for protein.
At your age I would want to be focusing on eating plenty of veges, fruits, protein and not too much grains/ breads. Avoiding sweets, junk foods, fruit juices and drinks (eat the fruit instead), and soft drinks most of the time (though occasionally is still ok). When you eat foods eat until you are satisfied and no longer hungry, but stop before you feel stuffed or overfull.
Indoor exercises can also be done fairly easily. Jumping rope is a very easy exercise to do indoors. If you can jump rope continuously for 10 or 15 minutes you are already doing excellent; or you can do a session of say 1 minute jump rope, then recover for 2 minutes (doing say 20 squats), then 1 more minute jump rope, then recover for 2 minutes (doing say 20 push ups). Repeat this doing different exercises during the recovery, and you can easily have a 20 minute quite intense workout that is easy to do indoors.
