You may not have done so much damage initially, but by jogging on a swollen ankle you definitely did not help the recovery.
Is your ankle still swollen? Does it hurt other than when you are jogging.
Ankles can take some time to recover.
You might try icing it after every run now. Also some stretching and strengthening.
If you can see a physical therapist it might help to get it properly examines and some recommendations for rehab exercises.

Yes , you might have done more damage to your ankle by not taking adequate precautions.
In an ankle injury. remember the mneumonic-RICE.
R-Rest( rest the joint)
I-Ice( applied at the joint reduces pain and inflammation0
C-Crepe bandage( to provide support to the joint)
E-Elevation ( keep limb elevated to bring swelling down).
It is not to late to follow this regimen but you need to get it examined to rule out any serious injury.
