Adult Congenital Cataract

My relative in China has vision problems.  The local doctors diagnosed as congenital cataract, but said it is beyond their ability to treat.  The patient is 46 years old.  The local doctors said that he would gradually lose sight and become blind.  I would like to see if the MedHelp community can kindly provide some suggestions on how to get help.  Any place for a second opinion?  Thanks a lot!

A congential cataract doesn't usually start causing problems at age 46, it causes problems soon after birth. Cataract alone do not cause UNTREATABLE blindness.

China has some excellent Eye MD ophthalmologists many associated with medical schools and large teaching hospitals. Your best bet would be to have him seen there.
