Blocked Tear Ducts

Thank you for all your help.  I have been seeing a Tear Duct Specialist and he has me on Aszite drops and Erthyromycin eyelid ointment, plus Doxycycline.  During my last three office visits, he has probed and irrigated my tear ducts.  They have improved quite a bit.  I have to continue the medications and may have to continue for a long time.  The doctor did say that it is a form of Blepharitis and has to be maintained, in other words, it will never really be gone completely and in  time, I may need stents placed in the tear ducts.  At least my eyes are not watering anymore and I don't have to carry a tissue in my hand all the time, plus people aren't afraid to come near me for fear of getting an eye infection.  I am so happy and I do use a no preservatove lubricating eye drops.  Thanks again and I will keep you all informed.

It could be cataract and most likely is; could be glaucoma but only if severe; could be completely different such as needingnew glasses. If its a problem might see the Eye MD for a "complete exam with refraction" and make that the main topic of discussion.

I'm happy to report that my tearducts are doing much better now.  Although, they had to be irrigated four times, but this last time they were completely open.  I only need to see this Tearduct Specialist as needed.  No surgery was required.  My other complications of the eyes are:  Glaucoma (closely watched and treated), plus, Cataracts in both eyes.  I have been noticing that my vision is much blurier and my eyes do not adjust to night vision like they use to.  I mentioned it to my Primary Opthamologist, but he didn't say anything back to me.  Is that part of the Cataract symtom?

Many things are "chronic" (oily skin, dandruff, acne, etc) and we speak of controling not curing. I'm glad you're better.
