One of the most prestigious eye medical journals in the world this month had a series of about 26 individuals that had gone to Panama and had cosmetic iris implants put in the inside of their eye to change the color. These individuals all developed blinding diseases such as glaucoma, uveitis, corneal decompensation and bleeding in the eye (hyphema). These implants NewColorIris implants (Kahn Medical Devices), developed in 2004, ARE TO BE AVOIDED IN ALL CASES. IT'S AS BAD AS PUTTING A LIT FIRECRACKER IN YOUR EYE.
It sickens me as an eye surgeon that anyone would put these cosmetic devices in peoples eyes under false pretenses and just for profit.
