Can yag lazer be done twice

I had cataract surgery and developed a "secondary" cataract soon after, Because of inflamation , I could not have the yag lazer for several months. When my Dr. finally decided it would be ok to do the procedure, it did not work. It has been about two weeks now with no impriovement. He says that he can do it again soon.I had a retina tear in my right eye, but this is my left that needs the yag again. What is your opinion ?

Dr Kutryb,Thank you for your reply. So far not much has been normal about my cataract surgery . That is why I left the Dr that did the surgery and am now under the care of the Drs at the Mayo Clinic . You were right about the inflammation, The first Dr did not treat it with the right drops. The inflamation is finally gone and I am going to have the Yag lazer again on August 19th.
Thank you again for your reply.

Obviously you do not have a normal situation going on.  I suspect there may be some retained cortex or capsular contractions.  Sometimes in these situations with excess inflammation or scarring it can take several sessions to get the job done.  Under normal situations, a single treatment works 99.5% of the time.
