eye problem

hi i am a 25 years old girl not married... i have an eye problem.i noticed in October 2011 that my left eye has become bigger then the right eye... i went for thyroid tests which were a bit high... n then I've been on medications. my thyroid is under control now.. but my eye has become bigger.. the doctor told me to do MRI just incase if i dunt have any kind of a cist in the back of my head.. but my MRI  is clear n i don't have any kind of a problem in my brains. now i am again on medication for thyroid.. i will have to consult a neurologist n show my MRI. i just wanted to ask what could possibly be the reason for my eye... when i am sleeping my eye is not fully closed. it is always watery and it hurts.. please help me n tell me what could be the main reason for my eye.. thanks

You problem is very common with thyroid eye disease.  It can progress even with thyroid medication.  You should see an oculoplastic or orbital surgeon.  Medication or surgery to control the swelling in the orbit may be needed.
