Out of security reasons both eyes are not treated on the same day.
We do not stop blood thinners for cataract surgery since we do it with topical and intracameral anesthesia and make the incision through the clear cornea which does not have blood vessels.

Here in the UK they make you wait 3 months between operations. I had it done its the best thing I have ever done. I now see colours I never knew existed.
Thank you very much for your quick response.
To Q/A 1, my eye Dr has scheduled the first eye in early January and the second one in late January, can't both eyes be done on the same day ?
I will check the archives.
Everyone from lets say 50 yo has cataracts.
Surgery is only necessary if cataracts impair your vision to a degree your every day life is influenced.
1. Usually cataracts are removed one after the other.
2. i don't know.
3. your vision should be ok within some hours to days.
4. don't hurry unless your vision is bad from the cataracts.
There is a lot of discussion about cataract surgery here in the archives, Please use the search function.
