Chalazion - Contacts and make up (Please read this version!)

Sorry, my last question was full of grammatical errors. My phone sent the message before I could edit.
I've had chalazion for three weeks now. It is on my upper eyelid and is very very small, about the size of a poppyseed.   It is very inconspicuous. My ophthalmologist saw me last week and told me that he did not have any issues with me wearing my contact lenses or wearing makeup as long as I remove both at the end of each day and practice good I hiking.. He said as long as I practice good I hygiene and remove my make up eachI've had chalazion for three weeks now. He explained that this was not an active infection and therefore there was no need to avoid these things. On any website on the Internet I have read to avoid wearing contacts and make up?  If this is not an active infection, why do I have to avoid these things? I understand the reason when you have a sty as this is an infection.

Thank you for your quick response. Is it fair to say that my optometrist is correct? That because a chalazion is not an infection, it's fine for me to wear contacts and make-up as long as I practice good eye hygiene?

A chalzion is like a residual bump after a pimple bursts.  It is not an active infection.
