Chalazion - Contacts and make up (Please read this version!)

I've had chalazion for three weeks now. It is on my upper eyelid and is very very small, about the size of a poppyseed. It is very inconspicuous. My ophthalmologist saw me last week and told me that he did not have any issues with me wearing my contact lenses or wearing makeup as long as I remove both at the end of each day and practice good I hiking.. Thank you for your quick response. Is it fair to say that my optometrist is correct? That because a chalazion is not an infection, it's fine for me to wear contacts and make-up as long as I practice good eye hygiene?
