Corneal abrasions often heal poorly leading to a problem called recurrent corneal erosions. In face studies have shown it takes several months for the cornea to completely repair itself. Suggest you use a lubricating gel in your eye every night like Genteal Gel, Systane Gel, Refresh Liquigel. Regular artificial tears won't last all night. If it doesn't help after a week try Mure 128 ointment at bedtime. And when you get up put a drop of your favorite artificial tears in the eye.
