Glaucoma is not a painful condition (except for the rare acute angle closure). Likely there is some other cause of your pain.  Be sure the eye doctor you see is an Eye MD ophthalmologist.

Could optic nerve damage that quickly ?
read carefully   Glaucoma not cause pain and most slow increases of IOP not painful.  Glaucoma would not be a cause of your pain.  Optic nerve damage in glaucoma is painless.
