Degenerative Myopia

Hi, I'm an Optometry student, and I've a couple of questions regarding a patient whom I examined:
The patient is a 14WF w/ refractive error of -11.75 sph OD, and -9.25 - 0.75 x 005. BCVA 20/20 OD,OS,OU. Upon examining the fundus with a 90D lens, both optic nerves were tilted, C/D ratios were 0.45/0.45 OU. On BIO examination, there seemed to be what looked like lattice degeneration. There was no posterior staphyloma.
My questions are:
1. Based on the info given above, does the pt have degenerative myopia?
2. Could what I've seen on BIO be lacquer cracks and not lattice?
3. What should be the next step w/ this patient?

1. NO
2. possibly but lattice is much more common.
3. Have one of your instructors or an ophthalmologist look at the posterior segment and tell you what the findings are so you will know next time.
