How long will eye stay red and swollen and "gunky?"
I had surgery for a macular hole, with peeling and vitrectomy, 5 days ago. How long will my eye be so red and swollen? Also, at night my eye still seals itself shut because of all the "gunk" that is produced in it overnight. Is this normal 5 days out from surgery?
Monica: The surgery you had is very complex and each unique. Not possible to generalize like after cataract surgery. You will need to ask your surgeon.
